Information and Referral:

Our programs are designed to assist Hispanic immigrants understand the complex network of public and private services and other resources that are available. Clients receive information and referral to appropriate  service provider in the area that they live and work.

The Hispanic Committee of the South maintains an up -to date catalog of reliable services and resources.

Work Force Development:

The Work Force Development Program is intent on reducing barriers to work and increasing the long term employment of  Hispanics. The Hispanic Committee of the South is focused on providing one on one job counseling where clients are educated about resources and job searching, strategies. Counseling services include, but are not limited to:

  • Job search assistance
  • Skill assessment
  • Resume preparation
  • Interview coaching
  • Job fairs and networking

Social Services:

The Hispanic Committee of the South's Social services Program is designed to assist individuals and families to meet basic needs, access services and survive crises.While, all the clients are encouraged and enabled to make progress toward long- term self sufficiency and well-being. Services are largely concentrated on:

  • Health literacy
  • References to medical and dental services
  • Crisis prevention
